Hey, I’m Laura! I’m an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, Certified Chef & Nutrition Adviser based in Bristol, registered with UKHCA, specialising in Digestive Health, Stress Management & Lifestyle.

Melanoma cancer, depression, anxiety, adrenal fatigue, insomnia, abdominal discomfort, bloating, constipation, migraines, brain fog, lack of self-worth, self-confidence and self-sabotaging behaviours, since I was 22.

GET TO KNOW ME – MY STORY
Digestive pains, rollercoaster emotions and absolute exhaustion was always a massive shadow looming over me. Feeling out of control and never giving myself the time to ask if I was even happy, left me feeling confused, lost and floating down destructive paths which weren’t in my best interests. All I wanted was a solution but I had no idea where to start.
THAT’S WHAT YOU COULD CALL BREAKING POINT
I loved every minute of it however I never stopped, never slept properly, never ate nourishing food and never took the time to listen to my body. Stress, emotions and digestive issues now played even more of a role in my life.
What also didn’t help was the side effects of the prescribed pills from the doctors I was taking for my digestive problems and depression, which only led me down a bunch of new negative paths.
It didn’t feel right at all and I always felt they were just covering something up. Deep down I knew there had to be another way and realised my lifestyle had to be a big cause for much of it too.
WHO’DE HAVE THOUGHT IT WOULD HAVE STARTED ON A BANANA FARM?
Everyday I focused more and more on my thoughts, questioned my decisions and pondered on my future. Just the thought alone of being able to eat food with no pain, no bloating, no migraines or any release of negative emotions felt impossible.
It was on this farm I realised I had to start changing my lifestyle, diet and habits. Basically caring about myself so I could finally relieve myself of these long term symptoms.
On top of this I found simple 30 day challenge exercises, quit smoking, followed easy to follow recipes each day and rediscovered my love for photography. Slowly my energy and mood started to feel increasingly positive.
ELIMINATION & REINTRODUCTION
THAT’S IT….MOVE TO THE MOST ISOLATED CITY IN THE WORLD HAH
Here I began a regular meditation and yoga practice as well as made decisions to remove things from my life that negatively impacted me, one of which being the contraceptive pill.
However discovering raw plant-based wholefoods, was at the time the most powerful change for me. By consuming fresh, natural and most of the time organic foods on a daily basis, it’s nutritional content deeply nourished me with all it’s health benefits.
HEALING FROM THE INSIDE OUT
Through this new found lifestyle I started to heal myself from the inside out.
My chronic body inflammation reduced, my digestion massively improved, my anxiety levels became manageable, feelings of depression were alleviated, energy levels naturally increased, self-confidence rose (I’ve never liked photos of myself!), my skin cleared and I maintained a healthier body weight.
Also knowing I was consuming plant-based wholefoods that are known to be anti-inflammatory, contain cancer preventing properties and powerful immune system support, I felt confident I was on the right path.
LEARN, STUDY & APPLY
During my time in Perth I attended countless classes and workshops with the Raw Living Institute and Raw Food Kitchen as well as events in Nutritional Medicine and Beauty, to expand my knowledge and application of plant-based food as well as mind, body and soul growth.
Everyday I discovered incredible flavours, mind blowing research and continued to practise this knowledge on myself. Fully committed to learn more and more was a understatement!
Thanks to my inspiring friend Alexa, who lent me her book The Thrive Diet by Brendan Brazier, I was instantly hooked and felt dedicated to this path for life. Wholefoods, hemp and superfoods I wanted it all!
From here it was so clear to me that my path was to get fully immersed in Plant-Based Culinary. So I travelled to Sydney to complete my Level 1 – Fundamentals of Raw Cuisine Certification with Matthew Kenney PlantLab Culinary School. I certified as a Raw Plant-Based Chef which filled me great knowledge to produce beautiful dishes with health benefits and further improve my digestive and emotional health.
On graduating my boyfriend and I travelled Australia for 4 months in a converted electrician’s van learning how to eat plant-based whilst on the road. A little tricky on the move everyday but proved possible!
Continuing my chase for more plant-based wonders I jumped on a plane to Ubud, Bali where I had the privilege of living with one of the best raw food chefs I’ve ever met, Mathias who runs Raw Food Bali and runs incredible courses!
It was here I gained even more experience creating beautiful dishes with locally grown food, helped run raw food workshops and saw how communities fed and supported each other.
My next stop was to the incredible city of Barcelona where I certified as an Advanced Raw Plant-Based Chef with Matthew Kenney PlantLab Culinary School. This took food and nutrition to a whole new level so I could not only help my own health but others too! In addition, I designed, created and marketed my own health tonic products inspired by the seasons and Traditional Chinese Medicine.
BACK TO THE NEST
After years of movement it was time to fly back to the nest. I thought after everything I had been through I would have been ‘fixed’ however I still felt like there was something important missing, which was preventing me from living my best life.
In 2018 I continued my learning with the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, which consisted of studying holistic nutrition, practical lifestyle coaching methods and business training. Here I certified as an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach and found more missing pieces of my puzzle.
It was balance I was trying to find all along and not just in food!
I came to realise that life has so many different elements to it, with relationships, physical activity, a meaningful career and even breathing being imperative to a happy fulfilling life.
Step by step I began to properly heal my mind, body and soul.
Reconnecting to my childhood, integrating a balanced wholefood diet, understanding and applying digestive and emotional wellness practices, introducing healthy lifestyle habits and consistently engaging in mind-body connection, all brought me to where I am today. Not forgetting the incredible support from health professionals who all play a part in this journey! Including many of whom recommended I start eating meat again, which almost instantly improved my energy levels!
LIVE A WHOLESOME LIFE
So far I’ve strengthened myself against any reoccurring melanomas, most of my symptoms have become a thing of the past and along the way have built up my self-worth, emotional strength and self-confidence. I dedicate myself to daily digestive, stress and lifestyle wellbeing practices, all of which continue to transform my life!
Life will always have it’s up and downs. I mean how can you have good without bad right!? To see and approach your health from different perspectives with your feet firmly rooted to the ground is something I choose to do every day and I believe anybody can adopt this into their lives as well.
I continue to consistently learn and work with obstacles as they come up and give myself the support to remain heading in the best direction. As we all know, life isn’t always smooth riding, however with actionable knowledge, self-determination and loving support, anything is possible!
The shifts I’ve chosen have positively transformed my life on so many levels, so much so I want to share my story and help others in every way I can.

Through my own health journey and graduating as a Certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in 2018, I knew I wanted to build a health coaching business.
