This cinnamon turmeric latte does the trick! Coconut milk, fresh turmeric root, maple syrup, cinnamon, nutmeg and black pepper winter warmer or for just whenever you feel like a sweet drink of health.

This potent anti-inflammatory and antioxidant coconut drink will have you back feeling right as rain and glowing from the inside out!
⠀
Don’t forget to put a pinch of black pepper in, as combining this spice magnifies this drinks anti-inflammatory effects! The compound piperine in black pepper helps your body absorb more curcumin, the active ingredient in turmeric that’s known for its health benefits!
If you don’t have fresh turmeric root and do have the powder, switch the 3cm of root for 1/2 tsp powder. That should do the trick! If you would prefer a stronger taste add a little more. Turmeric root or powder can have a pretty pungent flavour though, so if you go too far add a little more maple syrup to balance out the flavour.
The cinnamon in this warming drink will help to balance out your blood sugar levels as you drink up. Nutmeg has an array of health benefits so definitely add a pinch of this! It helps to relieve pain, improve blood circulation, soothe indigestion, strengthen cognitive function, detoxify the body, boost skin health, alleviate oral conditions, reduce insomnia and improve immunity. Serious stuff and you only need a little!
This cinnamon turmeric latte is tasty hot or cold and if you have a steamer that’s even better, to get that frothy texture. Enjoy with these Sweet Potato Muffins!
