This fresh thyme lemon tea is truly the tea of goddesses! Lemon and thyme beautifully compliment each other in this calming and detoxifing tea…

I don’t know about you but I think the world would be a lot different without lemons!
Lemon tea, lemonade, lemon cheesecakes, this flavour has been around us for centuries! It’s just amazing the healing powers we can absorb from this beautiful flavour balancer.
GIVE ME LEMONS, LEMONS AND MORE LEMONS
The roots of lemon trees go deep into the earth extracting dozens of trace minerals, which you also absorb once consumed in one way or another. When drank in tea form lemons can be super hydrating and electrolyte producing, because they are a top source of mineral salts and trace mineral salts.
Lemons have super duper flavanoids in them, antioxidants which help to fight disease and can be amazing cleansers of the liver, kidneys, spleen, thyroid and gallbladder.
USE THE ZEST
Remember to zest the lemons first before being cutting and use it in your current or next recipe, as studies show there’s a higher content of antioxidants in the skins!
RID THOSE PESKY MONTHLY PAINS
For the ladies, lemon also helps to relieve us from menstrual cramps and supports digestion during this time too. Therefore promoting your cognitive function, encouraging better sleep and boosting your immune system. All the things we certainly want during what can sometimes be a roller coaster time.
⠀
As far as side effects are concerned though, thyme tea should be avoided by anyone allergic to plants in the mint family, Lamiaceae, so be aware!
Sooo with all this in mind, it was no brainer to compliment the fresh fragrance of thyme with lemon in this soothing drink.
